Friends of Mount Diablo Creek
There’s a lot going on in your watershed this fall!
* Saturday, September 18th, 8am-1pm Volunteers needed to survey the creek!
Be part of the countywide effort to collect a baseline of data on all creeks.
The data will be part of a future Watershed Atlas. To learn more about the
Atlas, see www.cocowaterweb.org. Learn to use Global Positioning Systems
(GPS) while exploring your creek.
Training required – Thursday September 16th at 6:30 pm at the Farm Bureau
in Concord. Call for more information.
* Saturday, September 25th, 9am – 12pm Clayton Cleans Up!
The City of Clayton will be celebrating coastal cleanup day with a creek cleanup
Meet at the Clayton Library to participate
* Saturday, October 2nd, 8am–1pm Volunteer to clean up the creek–day

Volunteer for one or both of our days out in the creek. See Sept 18th above.
* Wednesday, October 6, 6:30-8:30 pm – Bimonthly meeting
Topics include current monitoring and data collection efforts, including the
County’s GPS survey and future water chemistry monitoring. Learn how you
can get involved on your own or with a school group. Dinner will be
provided by the California Pizza Kitchen.

Highway in Concord.

awareness of Mt. Diablo Creek and its watershed, to preserve and restore
the creek's habitats, and to add to the quality of life for the residents
